Washirika

Good local governance is necessary to achieve sustainable water and sanitation services and sustainable economic growth and development. Governance shapes the way a service or set of services are planned, managed and regulated within a set of political social and economic systems to ensure sustainable services.

This site is part of a toolbox with information products and materials compiled by IRC International Water and Sanitation Centre and its partners through action research or other collaborative initiatives on strengthening local governance for improved water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) services over the past decade.
